this book is really well put-together. set out in a series of articles, it covers every inch of pre-pubescent pop, from the banana splits to the brady bunch. i’d never heard of the defranco family or the cowsills but, having discovered them in this book, have not looked back! some cool pictures of merchandise – my favourite is the monkees lunch-box. a good insight into the innocence and the not-so-innocence about those idols of yore. yeah, really good.
